MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned energy supply cooperative, announces it has acquired full ownership of Howard Electric – MFA Propane LLC in Fayette, Mo., effective May 1. Howard Electric – MFA Propane LLC was formed in 1999 as a collaboration between MFA Oil and Howard Electric Cooperative.
MFA Oil does not plan to maintain an office in Fayette, but will instead service Howard Electric – MFA Propane LLC customers from its existing operations in the surrounding area.
This is the fifth acquisition of MFA Oil’s 2018 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2017. Earlier in the year, the company added Callaway Propane LLC of Fulton, Mo., Raines Oil Co. of Senath, Mo., Cardie Oil, Inc., of Tampa, Kan., and George’s Gas Co. of Springdale, Ark.
MFA Oil will continue to evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities in its existing market areas and other regions where it can expand its footprint.
