Columbia, Missouri – MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned cooperative based in Columbia, MO, has begun construction on the 33-acre commercial site that will house its Business Support Campus in Moberly, MO. The site was purchased early in 2014.
“The building designs have been completed and the construction process has begun.” says Mark Fenner, president and chief executive officer of MFA Oil. “We hope to have the first phase of construction done by May 2015 and be fully operational by the end of 2015.”
The first phase will include construction of the main office, maintenance department, parts and packaged goods warehouses, training center and the product development and quality control department. The second phase will include the truck maintenance department and bulk lubricant storage.
“We are excited about start of construction on MFA Oil’s property and about moving forward to make this site an economic engine for Moberly,” says Corey Mehaffy with the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation. “MFA Oil has been a good corporate citizen here with its retail presence and through the MFA Oil Foundation, which has awarded grants and scholarships that have benefited our community.”
