MFA Oil Acquires the Propane Operations of Rolla Farmer’s Exchange
July 24, 2018
MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned energy supply cooperative, has purchased the propane operations of farm input supply cooperative Rolla Farmer’s Exchange of Rolla, Mo.
“This acquisition follows our strategy of working with local co-ops who’ve decided to exit the energy business, yet still desire a strong cooperative marketer to serve their customer’s energy needs,” says MFA Oil President and CEO Mark Fenner.
“Our long-time relationship with MFA Oil gives us a great deal of confidence that they will take excellent care of our propane customers and employees. This change allows us to concentrate on our strength, which is serving our agricultural customers,” says Frank Brown, general manager of Rolla Farmer’s Exchange.
MFA Oil will service Rolla-area propane customers from its existing office at 520 E. 19th Street in Rolla. The phone number for propane service will not change during the transition. Customers may continue to call 573-354-5961 or toll-free at 888-229-0536 to place an order.
This is the sixth acquisition of MFA Oil’s 2018 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2017. The company previously added Callaway Propane LLC of Fulton, Mo., Raines Oil Co. of Senath, Mo., Cardie Oil, Inc., of Tampa, Kan., Howard-Electric-MFA Propane LLC of Fayette, Mo., and the propane operations of George’s Gas Co., Inc., of Springdale, Ark.
MFA Oil will continue to evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities in its existing market areas and other regions where it can expand its footprint.
