April 3, 2013
Columbia, Missouri – MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned cooperative based in Columbia, MO, has acquired the assets of Henderson Oil Company. Henderson Oil, owned by Doug and Alicia Henderson, has been in operation in central Missouri for 36 years with bulk fuel plants in Columbia, Boonville and Harrisburg, MO.
“We are looking forward to serving the Henderson Oil customers,” says Mark Fenner, chief operating officer of MFA Oil. “Henderson Oil has a reputation for great customer service and we are excited about an increased presence in the central Missouri area.”
The Henderson Oil operation will be combined with existing MFA Oil operations in Columbia and Pilot Grove, MO. MFA Oil also will maintain Henderson Oil’s Columbia office and retain the employees in an effort to continue providing the best possible service for long-time Henderson Oil customers.
Fenner adds, “At MFA Oil, we believe our local employees are our strength and we are very proud to add 180 years of experience from the Henderson Oil employees to our team.”
“I would like thank our customers for their business over the past 36 years,” says Doug Henderson. “I will be working with MFA Oil to help ensure a smooth transition.”
This is the fourth acquisition for MFA Oil since September. MFA Oil has acquired Bowers LP Gas in Nabb, IN; Bell Oil in Van Buren, MO; and Propane Pardners in Platte City, MO. These four acquisitions increase MFA Oil’s annual volume by five million gallons.
