Jon Ihler
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jon Ihler has served as president and chief executive officer of MFA Oil Company since July 2019, becoming only the fifth CEO in the cooperative’s history.
Ihler joined MFA Oil in 2001 in retail management. After several years with the company, he moved to Colorado, where he owned and operated a franchise business, before returning to MFA Oil in 2006. He later held key leadership positions, including business development manager and director of sales and marketing. In those roles, he oversaw procurement, wholesale fuel operations, dealer branding programs, quality control, and mergers and acquisitions. He was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing in 2013.
An active leader within the cooperative and agricultural communities, Ihler serves on the boards of trustees for the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership and the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Foundation. He is also a member of the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Board of Directors and serves as an advisory director for The Bank of Missouri.
A native of Columbia, Mo., Ihler earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri.
