Greer joined MFA Oil in 1993 as a training agent after earning a degree in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University. He became manager of the Columbia, Mo., bulk and propane plants in 1996 and was promoted to northeast Missouri district sales manager in 1998. In 2003, he transitioned to Oklahoma district sales manager before being named western region sales manager in 2007, overseeing bulk fuel and propane operations. He was promoted to western region vice president in 2012 and moved into supply as vice president of supply and government affairs in 2014.
A native of Texas and Oklahoma, Greer spent summers working on his grandparents’ farms in Missouri. His connection to MFA Oil runs deep—his grandfather, a former board member from Marshfield, Mo., introduced him to the company at a young age.
