Propane inventories are higher than usual

Propane inventories were down 42,000 barrels, putting total stocks at 105.361 million barrels. This is the highest inventory level on record this late in the year, surpassing the old high-water mark of 104.1 million barrels set this week in 2015. Propane inventories are at a 14.7-million-barrel surplus to the 5-year seasonal average, which is the highest surplus of the year.
Conway propane inventories were up 11,000 barrels, putting total stocks at 28.021 million barrels. Last year, they were at 28.625 million barrels, and the three-year average is 26.456.
Gulf Cost inventories were down 932,000 barrels putting total Gulf Coast stocks at 62.335 million and last year they were 55.212 and the three-year average is 49.522.
The DOE inventory report had crude oil inventories down 3.43 million barrels, gasoline stocks up 2.033 million and distillates up 170,000 barrels. Crude supplies are at 424.155 million and last year they were 430.292 and the three-year average is 436.670. Gasoline total supplies were 207.391 and last year they were 208.927 and the three-year average is 212.115. Distillate inventories are now at 111.080 million and last year they were 114.301 and the three-year average is 109.654.
