MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned energy supply cooperative, has acquired the propane and farm fuel operations of Frazier Oil & LP Gas Company, Inc., an independent retailer based in Gower, Mo. The acquisition became official on August 2.

Frazier Oil has serviced residential, agricultural and commercial customers in Buchanan, Clinton and Platte counties since its founding in 1969.

"Frazier Oil’s propane and farm fuel business is a natural fit for our company and we are excited to welcome their customers,” says Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing.

“We are really pleased to have found such an ideal fit for this aspect of our business,” says Scott Frazier, president of Frazier Oil & LP Gas Company. “MFA Oil has a great team of people along with the resources and technology to take care of our long-time customers. They offer great service and will improve our operations, which is a great opportunity for our customers.”

MFA Oil plans to service its newly acquired customers from its existing locations in Platte City, Mo. and St. Joseph, Mo.

This is the seventh acquisition of MFA Oil’s 2018 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2017. Earlier in the year, the company added Callaway Propane LLC of Fulton, Mo.; Raines Oil Co. of Senath, Mo.; Cardie Oil, Inc., of Tampa, Kan.; the propane operations of George’s Gas Co. of Springdale, Ark.; and the propane operations of Rolla Farmer’s Exchange of Rolla, Mo.
